This half-term, Year 2 are excited to be exploring junk model artist Michelle Reader in their art lessons. We will be learning how to junk model through exploring different joins and materials. At the end of the unit, the children will be designing and creating their own human figure junk model. Over the next half-term, please could you send your child to school with as much clean recycling as possible. This may include but is not limited to: cereal boxes, toilet rolls, plastic bottles, cardboard boxes, tissue paper, egg boxes, milk bottle lids, clean yoghurt pots, tubs... anything you think could be useful for the children's modelling! Please ensure that any food or drink packaging has been washed before coming into school.

We will be using these resources most weeks over the course of the half-term, so please keep sending in your recycling.
